Understand the different growing mediums

Deep Water Culture Hydroponics

All you have to do is think about if you want to grow it indoor or outdoor. Indoor growing mediums are type of hydroponic growing methods where roots grow in a tub of water. As a result of which you will see faster growth. Plants have an unlimited supply of oxygen because of added oxygen from the air stone in the reservoir. The plant doesn't have to look for the source of any kind of energy (which usually not the same with the soil growing marijuana), so it channels that energy to plant growth. In addition, with proper guidance and a quality set up, it takes less time to maintain than an average grow.

We would advise customers to keep a check on their plants daily. If something is wrong, you can fix it easily in the beginning stages. If you notice there is something wrong, change the reservoir immediately. It is common for root rot to occur when roots are consistently in water. Keeping air and water temperatures under control are also very important measures to take.

Make sure your room is easily sanitized and cleanliness is equally important when growing indoors. Light leaks during dark periods will confuse your plants and can cause them to produce male flowers.

Coco Coir growing

This is also the popular method for the beginners. It provides the ease of soil gardening with the rapid growth of hydroponics. It uses fibrous coconut husks instead of a potting mix. It absorbs moisture quickly, so the plant can take up more nutrients and retain oxygen. Coco is much easier to flush than DWC because you aren’t changing an entire water reservoir. When growing cannabis with coco, good quality coco coir makes an immense difference, especially regarding root development.

Outdoor/Soil Growing

Most of the people are aware with this kind of technique. You can either use organic, composted soil, or store-bought soil with added liquid nutrients. A mixture of Biolive, alfalfa meal, blood meal and bone meal will help you make the organic soil. You need to use the organic nutrients and start adding them about three weeks into the vegetable stage. When using the synthetic nutrients, you have to flush them out regularly. Your plant needs the following primary nutrients:

·         Nitrogen (N)

·         Phosphorus (P)

·         Potassium (K)

As you gain experience and knowledge, you will understand what it takes to grow the marijuana cannabis - indoor or outdoor. You will come to know the growing techniques, and for the specific strains you choose, but hopefully this article will give you some ideas before you start growing it. Happy growing.
